Stitch that on a pillow. A new study has found that having a higher income can lead to more happiness, and the positive effects keep going even beyond the $100,000 per year mark, up to $500,000 per year. The study surveyed 33,391 US adults aged 18 to 65 with household incomes of at least $10,000, and participants logged their happiness levels throughout the day via an app.
Interestingly, the study’s authors didn’t have conclusive data for salaries beyond $500,000 per year, likely because those folks are just too darn happy to bother taking surveys. This goes against a 2010 study that suggested happiness plateaued around $75,000 per year. So forget about being rich in friendships – it’s time to 10x that salary and start your own side hustle. Who needs friends when you can be swimming in cash, am I right? (Just kidding, please don’t abandon your friends for money.)
Former State Treasurer of Wisconsin and former candidate for US Senate, Sarah Godlewski, is back on the show to talk more about Women Win Wisconsin.
WWW (no, not the world wide web) is a political action committee (PAC) that was formed to help elect progressive women in Wisconsin. The organization’s mission is to support female candidates who prioritize issues such as healthcare, education, and the environment. They also aim to increase the number of women in leadership positions in the state, as women are underrepresented in political and business leadership roles.
Between now and April 4th, Women Win Wisconsin is hosting six different rallies across the state. Check out the one nearest you!
