Argentine superstar Lionel Messi, named the world’s best male soccer player a record seven times, announced earlier this month, he would join Major League Soccer’s Inter Miami club for $50-60 million per year and turned down turned down an offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, which reportedly would have paid the star more than $400M annually. We discuss different reasons that cause us to walk away from more money.
