New Barons Brewing, Wisconsin’s Only Co-Op Brewery

Co-CEO of New Barons Brewing, Wisconsin’s only Co-Op brewery, joins us to talk about all the fun Women’s History month events coming up in March.

Then we debate the best way to split the bill when you go out with friends.

Guest: Heidi Dalibor

A Beer-y Happy Women’s History Month.

It’s hard to imagine anyone coming up with being the “first” when it comes to brewing beer in our state, but New Barons Brewing Cooperative is indeed, Wisconsin’s first co-op brewery. We talk to co-founder and CEO, Heidi Dalibor, about the inspiration for a co-op brewery, how it works, and some of the fun events they have planned for Women’s History Month.

Check out the events and some of the press they have gotten for them already:

A Very Punny Plow

You might have heard about Osseo, Minnesota getting a shout-out from Lizzo after they named their snowplow, “Blizzo”. But did you know that Madison has some newly denominated plows too

  • Saltimus Prime
  • Snowbi Wan Kenobi
  • Seymour Pavement
  • Dolly Plowton

However, Madison, I wouldn’t hold your breath that Dolly Parton is going to give you your own TikTok thank you anytime soon.

The Cost of Having Friends

We debate the correct etiquette when it comes to splitting the bill in a big group of friends. There are always some caveats and you probably should talk about what the group is going to do well before the check comes, but in general: split the bill in the evening, but offer to pay a tip if you drank more.
